Rental terms
These terms explain the general conditions for renting a BA.GO vehicle. The values that apply to a specific rental are confirmed before the rental in its booking-specific rental documentation.
Effective: 10 October 2026 · 2026-10-10-v1
1. Who can rent
The main and any additional driver must be at least 21 years old, have at least one year of driving experience, hold a valid identity document, and hold a valid driving licence that legally permits them to drive in Argentina. A foreign licence is accepted only where it is legally valid in Argentina.
2. Vehicle and rental period
Before the rental, the booking-specific rental documentation identifies the selected product, assigned vehicle where applicable, contracting owner or authorized representative, and pick-up and return dates, times and locations. The renter must return the vehicle at the agreed time and place.
3. Price, payment and deposit
Rental price, extras, delivery charges, payment arrangements and deposit are booking-specific. The deposit is returned no later than 30 calendar days after the vehicle is actually returned. BA.GO may deduct documented charges attributable to the rental, but will not collect the same charge twice.
4. Cancellation and no-show
If the renter cancels at least 72 hours before the agreed pick-up, the reservation advance is refunded in full. With less than 72 hours' notice, or for a no-show without agreed rescheduling, the advance is not refunded. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected where applicable. Early return does not automatically create a refund unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
5. Insurance and deductible
All BA.GO rental vehicles are insured. Coverage terms and any applicable deductible are confirmed for the selected vehicle before the rental. These terms do not publish a universal deductible structure or percentage.
6. Mileage
Standard non-BYD vehicles include 120 km for each paid rental day, accumulated across the paid period. Excess mileage costs USD 0.10/km. A higher limit may be agreed in writing before rental according to the route. The BYD keeps its separate mileage and excess-rate conditions, shown in its booking summary.
7. Permitted use
Only declared, eligible drivers may drive. The vehicle must be used lawfully and with reasonable care. Smoking is prohibited. Pets require prior approval. The vehicle may leave Argentina only with prior written authorization from BA.GO and the required documents; these terms do not designate permitted countries.
8. Fuel and cleaning
Return the vehicle with the same fuel level recorded at handover; a full tank is not inherently required. Missing fuel costs USD 2/litre. Standard cleaning costs USD 30 only when the condition prevents a normal inspection. Deep cleaning, deodorization or ozonation is charged at the actual documented cost, up to USD 400.
9. Accidents, theft and fire
Stop safely, request emergency assistance for injured people when needed, and notify BA.GO immediately and, where reasonably possible, within one hour. Collect photos or video and relevant third-party, insurance and witness information. Make a police report where required. Do not admit liability, settle, pay or authorize repair without BA.GO approval, and cooperate with the insurer's claim process.
10. Emergency repairs
Emergency repair up to USD 100 normally requires prior approval. An exception applies only when communication is objectively impossible or urgent action is required to prevent greater damage. Any amount above USD 100 requires explicit approval. Invoices and supporting evidence are required for reimbursement.
11. Fines and TelePASE
The renter pays actual fines attributable to the possession period, including fines received later, after BA.GO provides evidence. TelePASE is installed in every vehicle; tolls are not included and are registered automatically. Final toll charges usually appear around the following day after return but may arrive later. BA.GO sends supporting detail and charges the actual attributable amount without a processing commission or duplicate charge.
12. Damage and loss of use
The renter may be responsible for documented damage attributable to the rental, subject to the applicable insurance, deductible and mandatory law. Renter-attributable damage may result in a documented loss-of-use charge for the reasonable necessary repair period, calculated at a proportional daily rental rate and capped at 15 days. Delays caused by BA.GO, the insurer, repair shop or external parts shortages are excluded.
13. Late return
Up to and including two hours late carries no additional late-return rental charge. More than two hours is charged as one full additional daily rental rate. The tolerance does not change the agreed return time and is not an approved extension.
14. Extensions
An extension requires prior written agreement. Written electronic communication, including WhatsApp, may be used. Silence is not acceptance. BA.GO must confirm the extended period and any changed price or conditions.
15. Mechanical failure
Wear, internal defects and failures not caused by the renter are BA.GO's responsibility. If the vehicle is immobilized for more than 24 hours, BA.GO seeks a replacement subject to availability or refunds the proportional rental price for complete unavailable days.
16. Communications and electronic acceptance
BA.GO and the renter may use the contact information supplied for booking and rental communications. The booking flow records explicit electronic acceptance of these Rental Terms and the booking-specific conditions shown at submission. Operational approvals may also be documented through written electronic communication.
17. Applicable law and consumer rights
The rental relationship is governed by applicable Argentine law. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. The legally applicable complaint, cancellation, revocation and dispute rules prevail over any inconsistent booking condition.
18. Booking-specific conditions
Before the rental, the booking-specific rental documentation identifies the applicable contracting owner or representative, vehicle, dates and times, locations, price, deposit, insurer and policy where applicable, deductible, total included mileage, authorized drivers and any agreed special permissions. Booking-specific conditions prevail only for those variable facts and cannot reduce mandatory rights.
