Privacy policy

This policy describes the personal data currently processed through the BA.GO website and rental workflow.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

The public booking process does not collect payment-card numbers, card photos, CVV security codes or account passwords.

1. Controller and contact

BA.GO Rent Car operates this booking website in Buenos Aires. For privacy questions or requests, contact BA.GO through WhatsApp at +54 9 11 5507-3931. The contracting owner or authorized representative for a specific rental appears in its booking documents.

2. Data collected

The website may collect first and last name, WhatsApp number, email, country of residence and, if the customer chooses to provide it, an identity-document or passport reference.

Booking data includes vehicle, dates and times, locations, a custom pickup or return address where used, transport reference, extras, calculated price and deposit, locale, booking status and booking ID. Operations may later associate an assigned fleet unit with a booking.

3. Why data is used

Data is used to validate and manage booking requests, check availability, calculate and communicate rental details, contact the customer, deliver booking email, support pick-up and return, administer the fleet, prevent duplicate submissions and handle incidents or claims.

4. Address lookup

When a customer searches for a custom address, the query is sent through BA.GO's address-suggestion endpoint to Argentina's GeoRef service. The selected structured address may then be stored with the booking.

5. Communications

Transactional email is delivered through Resend. Booking information is sent to BA.GO operators through Telegram. WhatsApp processes information when the customer chooses to communicate through WhatsApp. These channels should not be used to send card photos, CVV codes or passwords.

6. Hosting and service providers

Cloudflare provides website, worker and database infrastructure. BA.GO also uses Resend, Telegram, WhatsApp, GeoRef, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. Each provider processes information according to its role and configuration.

7. Analytics and attribution

The site records non-customer-text funnel events and attribution data such as page path, locale, page type, vehicle reference, rental duration, booking status and total, pickup and return location identifiers, UTM parameters, click identifiers, referrer and landing page. The shared BA.GO analytics helper excludes booking-form identity and contact fields from its event payloads.

8. Retention

BA.GO has not published a single fixed retention period for every record. Information is retained according to operational, booking, claim, accounting and applicable legal needs. A formal per-record retention schedule remains to be finalized.

9. International services

Some technology providers may process data outside Argentina depending on their configuration. Provider locations and applicable safeguards must be evaluated for each service; this policy does not claim that all processing occurs in Argentina.

10. Rights

Subject to applicable law and any valid retention obligation, a person may request information about their data and request access, correction, updating or deletion. BA.GO may need to verify identity before acting on a request.

11. Security and updates

BA.GO uses access controls and operational safeguards appropriate to the current booking system, but no internet service can promise absolute security. This policy may be updated when the rental workflow or service-provider inventory changes.
